U of A Cohort Meeting

The University of Akron College of Education Office of Outreach is offering several opportunities for Akron Public School teachers to further their education by adding a master’s degree or an endorsement to their credentials.  See this information sheet for details.

Everyone who takes part in a master’s degree cohort gets a scholarship – “for every 6 credits you take, you only pay for 5!” But, as an added incentive to become part of a UA cohort, we will offer an additional 1-2 credit hours of scholarship to be applied towards the first semester of your program. So, come and find out why the Akron Education Association has supported and endorsed the University of Akron College of Education and its programming for so many years. RSVP to outreachga1@uakron.edu.

You can get a Masters Degree in Education through any of the cohorts offered by the University of Akron College of Education's Outreach Program.  These popular cohorts include several  benefits.  The cohort allows teachers the opportunity to take classes as a group, it offers the convenience of meeting at off-site locations, and the Outreach Program assist teachers with the enrollment and semester scheduling processes.  Cohorts will get "take six hours, pay for five" scholarships.

A convenient off-campus site will be determined based on the numbers generated from each county. Current offerings may vary.

If you are interested in getting your masters in education through this program, or have questions about any of the cohorts, or to enroll, you can also contact Barbara Jenkins from Akron U's Office of Outreach and Professional Learning at (330)-972-2777 or bmj@uakron.edu
