Fun Photos from the
Akron Education Association's Annual Recognition Dinner
for the 2006 Class
of Retired Teachers
Traveling, hiking, gardening, woodworking, crafts, spending time with grandchildren (and did someone there say, "substituting"?) are just a few of the things this happy crew is doing this school year. Congratulations and happy retirement to our 2006 group of retirees!
Innes teacher and comedian Marv Conner (left) provided the entertainment at AEA's Annual Retired Teachers' Dinner. Getting a blue thumb on the ditto machine, "thoughtful" test questions about the Presidents, teacher top ten lists, IEP's, even Buford--the superintendent's snow-day predicting dog-- were "examined" in Marv's comic take on teaching & on life in the APS. He also performs regularly at the comedy club on State Road.
